Leading the way with Wildlife Treatment

Here at Baulkham Hills Vet Hospital we pride ourselves on the time and care we give to injured and stray wildlife.

Many of our team have attended seminars on how to better care for wildlife species so we are up to date to give them the best possible chance at rehabilitation. The common species we see here are Ringtail & Brushtail Possums, Blue Tongue Lizards, Rainbow Lorikeets and other bird species. Many of the animals that are presented to us have suffered from cat and dog attacks or motor vehicle accidents.
We have a seperate room upstairs specially for holding wildlife as stress is a major factor in these guys and can sometimes be a bigger killer than the initial presenting problem.
We are a nominated practice for Sydney Wildlife and WIRES so chances are if you phone either of these organisations to report injured wildlife they will advise you to come to us. We do not charge members of the public to drop off sick or injured wildlife and we do not charge the carers for ongoing treatment during rehabilitation.
If you have found an injured native species you can call us on (02) 9639 6399, Sydney Wildlife: (02) 9413 4300 or WIRES: (02) 8977 3333. These two organisations are run by teams of dedicated volunteers, so please be patient and provide as much information as possible when speaking to them.
