Meet The Vets

Meet The Nurses

It is practice policy for all our Veterinarians to be members of the Australian Veterinary Association and we all attend at least 8 days of professional continuing education each year. Our practice is represented at all local AVA meetings and product launches and the like and at least one veterinarian will attend most of the longer ( 3-5 day) courses of the Post Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science, the Australian Veterinary Association and the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association.

We are members of the following professional associations and groups:

Australian Veterinary Association

Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia

Australian Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association

Australian College of Veterinary Scientists

Post graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science

Australian Veterinary Practice Management Association

American Animal Hospital Association

Australian Institute of Management

Australian Equine Veterinary Association

It is important for us to keep in touch with the most up to date veterinary information to ensure the best treatment for all the animals we treat. As part of that commitment we subscribe to the following scientific and veterinary journals:

Australian Veterinary Journal

Australian Veterinary Practitioner

Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association

Compendium of Continuing Education for the Practicing Veterinarian

The Veterinarian

Veterinary Economics

Journal of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Management Today (Australian Institute of Management)

Trends Magazine (American Animal Hospital Association)

Veterinary Nursing

Animal Health Technician

CD Canis and CD Felis - a CD-ROM based reference work that is updated quarterly

We close the practice for staff meetings by restricting appointments for the morning and turning the phone to "answerphone" for about two hours. We thank you for your patience and cooperation as we spend this time discussing important customer and client service issues, developing practice protocols, resolving "housekeeping issues", as well as undertaking staff training and development. We also invite visiting speakers to present information on new products and procedures to our meetings. If you as a client would like any issue (either positive or negative) raised at a practice meeting please ask a member of staff and provide details if appropriate. We welcome the opportunity to learn from you and improve our services.
